Manna Freight Systems, Inc.®, is a privately owned and operated transportation company founded in 1991 in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro by Al Meehan and Bob Masters, both of whom are still at the helm today. We transport goods throughout the supply chain for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), consumer items to homes for retailers and ecommerce sellers, medical equipment to hospitals, and more. Over the years we’ve narrowed our focus to a limited number of industry segments in which we can excel and establish dominance. Our double digit annual growth over the past five years has far outpaced that of the industry, and we continue to seek expansion in narrowly targeted niches. Our approach is that of a specialist, always increasing our knowledge and experience within these market segments. MFS is the umbrella over seven brands, each with its own identity and teams of dedicated professionals who operate them.

Technology
Manna embraced the nascent power of the internet when both the company and the technology were young. Freight has always been a paper-based industry, and within six months of our founding in 1991, management was already building our first in-house freight management operations system. Our current system evolved from it and is continually refined, tested, upgraded, and challenged to do more.
Today technology plays a pivotal role in everything we do. Thanks to an in-house IT staff, we imagine, build, and deploy innovative technological tools to continue to push our industry forward to better serve our customers and their customers. We are the first company to design a website at which consumers can schedule their own delivery dates and time windows. (www.ScheduleMyDelivery.com)® We’ve automated email messaging to alert consumers of impending shipments and to invite them to schedule online what works the best for them. We offer opt-in text message alerts to remind online shoppers the day of delivery. Customer relationship management and our direct mail programs are web-integrated. These and many other innovative uses for technology keep us on the leading edge of industry invention.
Focus
Without a focus that is riveted on a few narrowly defined market segments, Manna would be just another company that moves freight without a clear way of breaking through the marketing clutter. But because we chose to narrow our sites on targeted niche markets, we gained early industry knowledge, recognition and market share, and have successfully positioned our brands as leaders and experts. Our company’s operational structure reflects this segmented, branded approach, with managers and groups dedicated to providing expert service within each segment.
Customer Service
We recognize that customer service is not how you get business, but how you keep business. Manna’s customer service teams are segmented by the brands they support, and are led by veterans in the transportation industry.
