Mendota Heights, MN — December 8, 2017 — The Specialized Furniture Carriers Division named Mark Fierek as Chairman. Fierek, VP Sales at Manna Freight Systems, Inc., has served with the group for the last five years.
“This group is working though some of the toughest issues the furniture carriers industry has faced,” said Fierek. He cited government regulations and the shortage of drivers as major hurdles for the industry. “We are at a time when logistics is complicated business, with a variety of places to purchase, from traditional brick and mortar stores, to websites that sell a wide variety of brands,” added Fierek.
Fierek praised the members of the group and those who recently served in the role of Chairman on the group. He said his role is to help provide ideas that address the issues facing the industry and most importantly to highlight how a very small group of logistics providers have the expertise to handle the rigors of moving furniture across the country and into a consumer’s home.
